MRN recognizes the importance of quality, Health and Safety and the environment as integrated factors within mining activities and basic urban infrastructure, it being everyone's responsibility to take care of these principles.

Promotion of quality, Health and Safety and environmental management is the responsibility of the managers, these being factors that are crucial to business excellence.

Legal, institutional and contractual means, and indeed any other agreement taken on with regard to quality, Health and Safety and environmental issues, are commitments taken on by MRN, which should be respected and met by all employees and subcontracted parties.

The prevention of accidents and pollution, together with the continuous improvement in the operational, occupational and environmental spheres should be constantly sought by all, making use of new technologies and standards, of personal development of all people and sensible use of available resources.

Liaison with clients, suppliers, employees, communities and other interested parties, and also the disclosure of this policy, must be a constant practice.

Based on this policy, every five years MRN shall set new Aims and Objectives, as a result of the constant appraisal of mining processes and urban infra-structure, making the results there from available to all interested parties through communication media.
