Objective The main objective of this agreement celebrated between Mineração Rio do Norte and Limnos Environmental Consultancy has been the biological, physical and chemical monitoring of the waters of igarapés in areas bordering Porto Trombetas and the Trombetas River. Operating Structure The scope of this service includes biological monitoring of bentons, phytoplankton, zooplankton, ichthyofauna and physico-chemical variables in the waters of the igarapés known as Saracá, Caranã, Água Fria, Saracazinho, Aviso, Almeidas, Papagaio and Periquito, and of the Trombetas River itself; extraction at regular intervals of samples of water at several points of the igarapés; preparation and delivery of the final report. monitoring provides a perfect control of the quality of the superficial waters
around Mineração Rio do Norte, thereby ensuring the exploitation
of mineral resources using a clean process, without causing any harm to the environment.
